      Misspent Youth, one of Long Island's finest classic
rock & blue's cover bands, has been playing on the scene since
1993.

The original band consisted of Mike Healy on lead vocals, John Timper on lead guitar & vocals, Mike (Barney) McCartney on drums & vocals, Eric Cahalan on guitar & keyboards, & Jim Kardos on bass guitar. He was replaced by Tim Smith in 2000. They had a great run, & made a great name for the band.

In 2006 & 2007 the band had a major overhaul & added Bob Stcikle on lead guitar & vocals, & Jim Cairo on bass guitar & vocals. The band went on to continue playing many local Long Island venues, including an annual performance at The Riverhead Blues Festival.

Most Recently,  Misspent Youth changed it's line-up & is now a Power-House Trio consisting of Mike (Barney) McCartney, drums & vocals, Jim Cairo, bass guitar & vocals, & Joe Pierre, lead guitar & vocals.

The band will continue to hold true to it's high energy classic rock & blue's roots, but will be adding it's own flavor to spice things up. The band also plans on having regular guest appearances by local musicians to add some variety.

What makes Misspent Youth unique is that they are 
more than just a cover band. They lend their own flavor
to the music and breathe new life into classic rock & blues.

ever before!
